Just wondering if there is a booking extension, either 3rd party that is compatible to allow users to take bookings for their event/directory listing, or one created by GeoDirectory?

I saw another post but I believe it was from over a year ago…

    Hello Ollie,

Not direct on the site no, is it for something like accommodation, you could always add some JS booking snippets from 3rd parties.

Hi Stiofan – it’s to make a reservation but a payment will need to be taken. We have WooCommerce installed but as a separate entity within the site and it is something that we would like our listings to receive payments for. An example is like on GrubClub – https://grubclub.com/zaad-dinner-club/zaad-dinner-club-mansaf-at-the-good-hope-cafe-in-ladywell-lewisham/11517

It looks to use Braintree – should this be something that can be implemented?

    Hi Ollie,

anything would require custom code at the moment. There is no plug and play solution for multi vendor booking unfortunately.

    Thanks

There are lots of different ways a booking system could work, i think it will be hard to please everyone, it is something we want to do but finding the right solution to please the majority is the problem.

Ok – at the moment we are putting an extra custom field that allows people to choose an external booking partner. The problem is that some of those external links go to some of potential competitors.

Obviously it needs an external payment gateway of some sorts. We have WooCommerce working within the site as a shop selling our own items to GeoDirectory members, and there are a few multivendor plugins that are available such as https://www.wcvendors.com/.

We may look to integrate with this method ourselves but are there any particular recommendations you would suggest in getting the WooCommerce side to operate with GeoDirectory? Maybe a particular Custom Field set up? Is there anything that would allow a calendar picker on the events to book?

    Hi,

You should add a new tab and add the calendar or whatever custom content in there:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/formidable-forms-in-geodirectory-tabs/

    Thanks

This is a great reference Paolo – Thank you!

    I have come across this – http://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/

I’m going to install it alongside on a local copy and will let you know whether we can get anywhere with it.
