wp 3.9.1
wp default 2012 themeMay 14, 2014 at 5:51 am #1987Just realised I can turn off country and city in the breadcrumbs, which is handy for how I want to list things. Obviously I had these enabled to generate this bug.
May 14, 2014 at 5:53 am #1989I am looking it not it.
Please let me know ur site url. Thanks

May 14, 2014 at 6:14 am #1993Something else I have just noticed.
If I have the settings as shown in the attached, and I select the “city” component of the breadcrumb, then there is no way I can reset the site to show all listings, it shows only listings from the selected city until I exit the site.
Obviously I am not using the location selector, but I would have expected to reset the filter to see all listings if I click on the home page link, or select “places” from the menu.
May 14, 2014 at 7:11 am #2003Hi,
This is how the geodirectory works right now. u have to have location switcher enable to remove location filter.
I will consider ur point let u know asap. Thanks
May 14, 2014 at 8:04 am #2005Hi Vikas,
The location switcher is just ugly, it should be available as a menu option – i.e. list all the locations + Everywhere in the main menu.
Otherwise, can you tell us what needs to be called to reset the filter, maybe I can add it as a link somewhere – if I decide to show cities etc in the breadcrumbs?
May 14, 2014 at 9:05 am #2008try this link
yoursiteurl/places/allMay 15, 2014 at 2:27 am #2101Thanks Vikas,
This is unworkable for me.
With cities enabled in the permalinks when someone adds a listing for a new city (Multi-location enabled) the whole site gets restricted to that one city. That would be very confusing for a user, even with the location selector visible.
I’ll use it without cities in the permalinks until the city filtering changes to something more usable.
May 15, 2014 at 5:45 am #2121Hi,
I will check it an get back to u asap.May 16, 2014 at 6:07 am #2256Hi,
Did u upgrade to latest version and see the difference now ?
May 16, 2014 at 6:15 am #2262Thank you Vikas,
Yes, the error messages no longer appear.
I still don’t like the filtering that applies when “Add location slug in listing urls” is checked in the “Permalinks” option, so I won’t be using that.
The appearance of the “Location” selector is improved, depending on the theme in use – looks OK in 2012, not so good in other themes I have tested.
May 16, 2014 at 6:38 am #2269Ok,
thanks for ur feedback. I will do my best to improve it more. Thanks
