from the developer:
We are using Geodirectory alongside another plugin (AWPCP) with Buddypress and aabout 40 other plugins on the site.
Most things are working, but on the user profile, inside the ID #object-nav div, some of the menu items are not working. The most important, the “listings” item with the ID #gdbuddypress-nav-listings-personal-li should be displaying the user’s listings. Unfortunately it is not, possibly because the other plugin (AWPCP) is also using it to do the same thing, so we see that plugin’s ads, but no listings for Geodirectory custom post types.
Can you advise what we might do as a work around if we cannot resolve the conflict between the plugins otherwise?
Thank you!
March 29, 2018 at 3:27 am #423949Hi Kathy,
Thanks for your post. Could you please tell a little bit more about the conflict? Is it regarding styling issues? Or the plugin is not functioning at all? Perhaps some screenshots?
Thanks!

Have you already edited the template for the account profiles? Or are you just using the BP standard templates?

if the other plugin has an option to change the listing and the classes, then use that. I will flag this for the developers in case they can provide an easy fix for changing the GD Listings class #gdbuddypress-nav-listings-personal-li

ok, well, as I noted, I already did that and it didn’t work, so I guess I am on my own. Please tell them to let us know if their developer team has any ideas.

For the broken links try just saving the WP permaink settings.
For the BP thing, ask the dev to move the plugin out of the plugins folder (AND DONT VISIT THE PLUGINS PAGE) this will disable the plugin but retain all the settings (unless you visit the plugins page in wp-admin, then it will disable it) So you can test if the listings appear.
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 30, 2018 at 7:24 pm #424216We discovered that only one post type is not working in terms of the links not showing. Therefore we do not think it is the other plugin but rather a problem with ‘post types.’ We are going to try creating a new post type to see if that works in having the links perform correctly.
If you have any insight for this, please let us know.
I’m posting a new thread regarding the BP issue.
Thank you!!
March 31, 2018 at 3:05 am #424268Just a little more on this. I can make business listings. The social importer is also working. The only way to see the business listings is to go to the ‘search’ panel and select from the ‘category list’ which allows a summary list of all the listings from a category.
What does not work is clicking on any detail listing. That gets ‘page not found’
The listings show up in facebook still but now instead of showing the image for the listing you see ‘page not found’ on the listing.Event listings are working perfectly in all ways. It is only the Business Listings that are not functioning properly.
If you have any suggestions would be so helpful. Thank you.
March 31, 2018 at 1:06 pm #424316Usually this can be repaired by saving GD – Permalinks and then re-saving WP – Settings – Permalinks
In some cases the permalinks settings may have been changed and need to be changed back at GD – Permalinks
