    Hi guys,

tons of work…i think i need for gd_places and gd_events to add the city in title, seo title, meta title and main keyword

    I use Yoast

The question is : in Yoast, for places and events i added %%in_location_city%% for meta title, which is not mass editing the meta title of places and events…

How can i get this done? I got now near 4000 places and not willing to manually edit…

The best solution would also be that for the next places to be added it would be added automatically

    Any idea please?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Pat

Have you tried re-saving your permalinks?
Did you enter it for “Posts”?
If you enter it for “Custom Post Type Archives” then it will not work for the detail pages, but only for the Listings pages.

    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

sorry total noob with this stuff…
well i added %%in_location_city%% to the meta title and saved it, nothing changed (did this in geodirectory title and metas and into Yoast too, i know Yoast disables titles and metas from GD)

If i go in (lets call it) GD Places (where i got the list of places in WP admin page), meta title did not change…

I understood it takes the title of place and title of site but i also need city to be added…basically i need to edit that field from meta title and add the city of each place

For now in google my results give “place name – site title” instead of “place name – site title – city from place location”

Any idea how to edit this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Pat

SEO > Titles and Meta > Post Types tab > scroll to first occurrence of “Events” > add to “title template”.

This is really a Yoast question, but if you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, we will have a quick check.

    Thanks
