Can i create a custom folder for media upload

    Hi Team,

    I did listing of business around 3500.so I had upload custom images of around 3500 in a path:upload/2018/5. Its working fine but a large number of images in one folder reduce the speed of the website. for this I need optimization. I had contact with hosting provider they told me to split media file into different folders.

    I Did:

    *Unchecking “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” and then upload in a custom folder but it doesn’t work.

    *Checking “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” and then upload in older year or months like 2004,2006 but this alteration doesn’t work.

    Can I create custom media folder and split 3500 images to a different folder?
    Could you please help me out?

    Topic 2: Need to Change title and Description in ADD listing.

    i have downloaded Poedit and Translate from “%s Title” to “%s TranlatedTitleText”. but changes don’t reflect when I had uploaded. then I had tried to open in notepad and Replaced manually but still, Changes are not reflecting.

    am i missing some other changes?

    Hello,

    Listings that are imported are assigned a folder based on the date of creation of the listing and if there is an easy way to adjust that, the developers will let us know.

    For the translation, be sure your files are only in the folder: wp-content/languages/plugins

    We have not settings for that, we use the WP standard settings, you could filter the folders with this filter https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/upload_dir

    Thanks for respond Stiofan, Could you please elaborate or can we use another plugin to handle this? Plugin would be easier for me Handle. Please suggest

    Some plugins may use this WordPress core feature but they are not a part of GeoDirectory and we don’t have an official recommendation for a third party plugin.

    You could try downloading some file managers from WordPress.org and scan them for that filter.
