Can we disable address requirement?

    Some of our members are having a very difficult time with the map function. Several have entered the only address they know (and may have used for years), but the form will not accept it because it doesn’t recognize the address. Our drop out / fail rate of people trying to fill out the address is unacceptably high and we are looking for workarounds.

    Primarily what our members want is the company profile page. Is there any way to do any of these:

    1. make all address fields non required?

    2. just use a zip code?

    that way the map would just put a pin in the center of the zip code? the street address would still be entered and display on the profile page, but entering it incorrectly would NOT prevent the listing.

    Please help, this is killing me. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Have you tried dragging the map marker? They can do that first then enter the address.

    yes, that is “live” and working but our fallout rate is still quite high.

    do you guys have any data on how many people start a listing page and abandon it before publishing?
