You need to install themes at Appearance > Add theme.
Themes are not plugins.

It depends on how you’d want your directory to look like. Some changes can be done through custom CSS and some with built in styling options. Have you seen some of our themes that are built specially for directories? https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/category/themes/

I’ve just taken a look at your Website and it looks like you’re using a premium theme. Upon inspecting the directory page, it looks like it requires some adjustments to fix the layout issue. Check out this screenshot http://prntscr.com/e9e5zs . Is this what you’re trying to fix? Or, do you mean you want to have a different look in the directory homepage? If you are, you’ll probably need some knowledge in custom CSS to redesign it. Let me know what exactly you want to do here and we’ll try to help you with this.

So, if you look at this page http://www.excusebuster.com.au/business-directory/ , the GD layout is broken and to fix this. Insert the custom CSS code below into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS.
