Can't get Editor role to pickup and edit their own entries

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    For some reason, my editor entry is unable to edit the ‘place’ they inputted. At this point, when I search for the entry, it comes up fine, I click on it, the place entry shows. I see an edit button at the bottom, but it goes back to the home page.

    My admin login is able to duplicate what I need for the author to do..hit and miss. Sometimes it goes and allows me to edit my ‘place’
    but sometimes, it goes to the search page – page??

    I’ve used a couple of Role editors to no avail.

    Add the GD Author Actions widget to the sidebar.
    You need to use the specific GD edit links.
    Anyone who “owns” a listing can edit it, even subscribers.

    Thanks for assisting me. Which sidebar do I attach this to?

    see attached, these are the sidebars I have available. The only one I use is the sidebar page

    What is happening is the Author searches for their entry, it shows up in a grid 4 view, they click on edit at bottom of page, they go back to home page instead of going to that post to edit in Places

    Look in the sidebar of the detail pages now. I added the widget to the GD sidebar.
    Your users should not be able to edit your website, only their listings.
