I’m only having this issue on some occasions, but if I’m experiencing it, then I know that users are as well and that’s not going to fly with the client.

My search fields consist of “Enter Keyword or Name,” “Enter city, state, zip code or country,” and “Select category,” which is a dropdown. When clicking on the first two options, no flashing cursor will appear at all so the user has no indication that the field is available for them to input their search parameters.

When I try to diagnose the problem using developer tools, simply activating developer tools frees up the field and then the problem goes away. If I reopen the page in incognito mode on Chrome, I can recreate the problem each and every time. Other than that, the issue seems to occur unpredictably.

Firefox seems to be the one browser that doesn’t create this problem at all. Chrome and Safari, not so much.

If anyone wants to see this firsthand so they can weigh in, they can visit the page at https://iabdm.org/location/.

    Thank you.

    Appreciate it. Thanks.

By the way, I discovered another way to trigger the fields to become available. If I open another window in chrome, then go to any site and click on something, and then go back to the previous tab, I can access the fields and input my parameters.

Needless to say, I’ve never seen anything like this in all my years.

    Hi Darrel,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tested it using the latest Google Chrome Browser with the incognito browser and it works fine. Check out this short screencast that I’ve recorded for your reference http://somup.com/cqVjhxn2YP . So it seems this is isolated to your side for some reason, maybe you should try with another computer and see if it works?

    Thanks!
