    Hello,

We are using the free version of GeoDirectory 1.1.2 on WordPress 3.8.1. Our site is hosted through a third party provider. Recently we’ve lost the ability to upload images to our places (posts). It shows a message right above the upload sections that says (You can upload 0 images with this package). When trying to upload images it seems to try but nothing saves.

I’ve seen others posting similar questions with some of the answers referencing a Payment Manager? We are testing by trying to create our own places and using 10 entries of dummy data. Results are the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We love the product and hope to grow into using some of the premium paid features soon but for now the free covers our needs.

    Thank You.

    Hi Hdgrocks,

    welcome to the forum!

Without the payment manager addon installed that souldn’t happen. In any case if you are using 1.1.2, you should update to 1.1.5 which is the current version.

Can you send me a link and wp-admin credentials in a private reply. I’ll have a look for you.

    Thx

Good morning… I just posted an update on this in my post as well… I am experiencing the exact same issue, whee photos will not upload in the FREE version of GD 1.1.5 on WP 3.9.1

This has only been an issue since the upgrade to the latest release. All was fine previously.

I’d like to post my credentials also if you would be willing to take a look. I’ve also updated my post on this issue, asking for a reply.

    Thanks,

    ~ Bryan

    Hi,

I’ve just tested on a fresh install of only theme and GD 1.1.5 and it seems to be working as expected.

The best suggestion I can give you is to check the table in your db geodir_price and make sure image_limit is blank for the free package.

I have no idea how the update could have changed that to be honest, only the Prices and Payments addon should be able to manipulate that table value.

We wil keep an eye on this to see if we can’t find more examples.

If you don’t know how to check that in your DB please send us phpmyadmin link and credentials and we will check for you.

@bryan you should open a new thread and send them in a private reply to it if you need our help. Otherwise this topic author will be able to read them too.

    Thx

I have a similar issue using GD 1.2.3. However, mine says I have unlimited and I am unable to upload images. I checked in the PHP tables and was not able to find db geodir_pr. I assume that is because I am using the free version.

Could this be due to an image size issue?

Update:I reduced the size of the image and was able to upload the photo.

I checked my WordPress settings and have image upload limits set at 1024×1024. The second smaller image that successfully loaded was 1200×675. The original image was 5312×2988, I know…huge. It appears I was not limited by WPs image size limits as the successfuly upload image is larger than the set limits.

Does GD have a image size limit?

    Hi,

no, but your server does. It is a PHP otion and it’s not the size in pixel that is checked, but the size in MB. Most server have a 2mb limit and a 5312×2988 image is definitely heavier than that.

The media settings will define the size in width and hieght to which images are resized when uploaded, but if the image is heavier than the maximum PHP limit, it will not upload at all.

To increase PHP max upload size, you will need to ask to your server admin.

    Thank you
