Categories – Icon and default image

    Hi

    Is there a way that you when adding categories, you add the Default Listing image that you can select for the Map Icon to be the same without having to upload separately, not using csv file uploads?

    Hi Andrea,

    The default category controls the map icon, the category FA icon and color, and the listing category default image for the listing. Check out this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/categories/#default-category

    Hi Andrea,

    Sorry for the misunderstanding. You mentioned about manually adding categories. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option that allows you to set a “Default Image” for Map Icon.

    Hi

    I have uploaded the csv, Had to do the manual as didnt want to risk the parent only categories importing as a result of problems i had 2 weeks ago when i started the upload.

    Hi

    I have uploaded on the categories. I have to manually add the parent category. I didnt want to upload as there were problems setting up for the parent categories and the way i did it was to upload a csv with categories i wanted as parents showing no other sub categories. This allowed me once i added the sub categories to allocate the parents as no parent categories were showing before.

    So it is working in a fashion. I can get what i want.
