Hi support team,
I am having an issue with gd category icons to choose and to display after switching from http to https.
The problem is that I am not able to see any more images to choose which are usually stored within media library to choose out from. E.g. I want to edit or add new gd category image and while setup the category I cannot choose from existing images. See this screen shot – http://screencast.com/t/CywboVgz
But if I go to core WP Media > Library there are the pictures found. screen shot 2 – http://screencast.com/t/oxQxND2f
Please advice, how to reset or solve this to be able to see again images to choose from library within GD category addings.
Looking forward to a fast help.
Thanks in advance, Alex
P.S. I have also asked this question in wordpress support forum, but did not got an answer, I guess because the core media library works so far…

December 12, 2015 at 1:04 am #63520Have you changed all URLs in the database as per
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLsDecember 12, 2015 at 10:39 am #63555Hi Guust,
NO – I have used a script called “Database Search and Replace Script in PHP” and replaced then http://www.worldcheckin.com to https://www.worldcheckin.com
Within database there is no problem of mixing urls like “https://www.worldcheckin.com/wp-content/imageshttps:/www.worldcheckin.com/wci/wp-content/images”
Screen shot – http://screencast.com/t/kZ8091q37Sm
Not sure why this is only caused within gd categories,
because on usual post categories trying to implement images there is no issue…Regards, Alex
December 12, 2015 at 11:40 am #63559Something definitely went wrong with your replacing.
It might be simplest to change the URLs in the database, there should not be that many?
Or re-upload the images? Some of your links have wci in it, and that is why it went wrong I think.
https:/www.worldcheckin.com/wci/wp-content/images
But other (media) images do not have that part.December 12, 2015 at 12:35 pm #63563Looks like Guust is right, but if u have further problems, please provide wp-admin and ftp and i’l take a look.
Thanks,
Stiofan
December 12, 2015 at 1:29 pm #63566Hi Guust & Stiofan,
I have used the import/export function to enable the category setup with its icons. The images are correct available within media library and work proper on wordpress core categories to be managed.
When it comes to gd usage and looking into the icon url of category in use, then you are right. There is mixture of link within the url of two urls together. Either the link with “wci” or without “wci” in image url works, but a mixture of course not.
img src=”https://www.worldcheckin.com/wp-content/imageshttps://www.worldcheckin.com/wci/wp-content/images/2015/11/badminton-2.png” />
screen shot – http://screencast.com/t/s8dD3omhQXx
URL – https://www.worldcheckin.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=gd_placecategory&post_type=gd_placeI have now tried following:
1. renamed domain URL from https://www.worldcheckin.com to http://www.worldcheckin.com again by using the script. Then again renamed back to “https”
2. exported e.g. place category to see image url which has no problems in it and uploaded again for testing.RESULT:
Still the same problem of URL mixture within icon url.CONCLUSION:
Within database there in NO mixture of domain found. So no changing is needed within database. It seems to me that gd interpret the icon url different as they are presented within database. Or may the import/export function does make any incorrect changes. Please be also aware that we have here a multisite with sub-directory installation. Core dicrectory is “/public_html/wci” which forward via httaccess to “/public_html/wci/wci.ms”
Looking forward to hear from you.
Regards, Alex

this topic is now solved from gd developer itself. He has manually changed the double mixture links within database. So everything is working fine now.
Thanks for helping me.
