    did you change the shortcode name? [gd_current_location_name]

    I tested it on another test website and worked there too…

    Yes I did. What is displayed is:

    Hi Strong Coffee,

    you don’t have multilocation installed. Without multilocation that function isn’t available.

    In addition, not having any location, that shortcode will never tell you anything even if it worked.

    I’m very confused…

    Sorry. I had all the other add-ons disabled in order to troubleshoot a different issue (https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/x-theme-compatibility/). The shortcode works now but all it diaplays is the city as text. Maybe I misunderstood but I was hoping to have the select box to choose which city is displayed similar to the one from [geodir_location_tab_switcher autoredirect=”1″]. I just don’t want the user to be able to change the country and region.

    Hi,

    the location switcher is doing that already. Removing Country/Region tab would only make it more difficult for your users to move away from that city.

    The shortcode only shows what location is selected without the city tab on top.

    OK. I was looking for a solution where the user could filter the results by city but I guess that is not the case.
