Currently, Title and Description are mandatory fields that are not directly editable.
We want the title to be “Year, Make and Model”. Ideally the title would be comprised of these three separate fields. For now, to keep things simple, I at least want to change title field label from “Title” to “Year, Make and Model” on the front end add listing page.
I assume I’ll need to do this using code and in the child theme. So, first I want to know what that code is, if you can suggest a way to easily figure that out myself that would be cool too.
Right now I am using the “modern” theme. I read an article on here somewhere yesterday that said the child theme could be updated and overwrite any changes I made. So, maybe I’ll just keep track of the changes I made in a document locally. this way if the child does get updated for any reason I can simply refer to the document and reapply all my changes.
I enjoy using Divi theme by ElegentThemes for a lot of sites I make. I may decide to use it instead for this project. Then I’d just create a child theme for that, I suppose that’s better. I just thought I’d see if Geodirectory has made a solid enough theme first for this particular project because I’m assuming you would be able to make the ideal theme for your particular plugins. I may be wrong about that though, maybe your focus is more on plugins and maybe I should use Divi. What do you think?
