Hi,
i bought most of the plugins and i use the GDF for my new wordpress site. But somehow this theme/plugin doesnt work properly :(. Or maybe i dont know how to use it.
Here is the problem:
1. I created som dummy data. I can click on the places and it opens up a site with the details about the listing. So far so good. But i dont like the permalink/URL of the listings, because it includes the region and country, which i dont need. So i go to the permalink setting page in the GD plugin. I select the “Add city slug in listing urls” option and save it.Then i revisit my homepage, i can still see the listings and if i hover over them, the URL is exactly like i need it. But when i click any listng i get this –
“No Records Found
Sorry, no record were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again.”
When i return to the homepage its now displaying the same thing, no records found.
Please help.

Thanks

Location is the name for the location page (where there is the map with all listings) while listing is the name for the detail page of the listing.
Ive changed it to “listing”, feel free to change it according to your language.August 29, 2014 at 2:53 pm #13702Many thanks Simone! 🙂 I have a second question, maybe i should create another thread for it, but maybe it has to do something with the same problem…
If i try to find something using the field “Near” (on the homepage, just on the bottom of the map) and i try to enter any city, even that one where are some listings, i dont get any results 🙁 . Its like it cant find anything in the proximity of the city or something. How can we fix that?
Second and last question – can i somehow disable the region altogether? I want to use the directory only in one country and the official regions that are displayed on google maps arent that commonly used there. We have some smaller regions which google maps doesnt recognize. So either i should be able to define the regions by myself (a fixed list of them) without any connection to the map (because google maps doesnt know the borders of those regions) and i would just select them manually on every listing from a drop down menu or the second option – can i somehow skip the region altogether? I found an option “Enable default region (region drop-down will not appear on add listing and location switcher).” but this doesnt help – i cant add any city from some other region then. The first option would be better…
Thanks! If we can get this fixed i will be really happy!
August 29, 2014 at 6:04 pm #13729Unfortunately the system highly relies on google maps api to determin maps and locations.
I don’t think that is possible at all, but I’ll ask Stiofan to let us know if he thinks there is an alternative solution.
Thx
August 30, 2014 at 12:43 am #13761I have found another solution – i just use the default region option (so its not shown in the add listing etc.) + i have hidden the alert pop up window when i try to select a city outside that region. The unofficial region will be added then either via tag or dropdown menu.
But please check the first problem in my last message – somehow i cant use the “near” search? When i enter a city i dont get any results 🙁
