    Hey everybody,

    So I have a site that I’m trying to finalize and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make GeoDirectory responsive. I’m using FoundationPress as the starter theme, so I have access to the Foundation grid. If I inspect the grids I see the following class applied to the

  • tags:

    .geodir-gridview.gridview_onehalf.gd-post-gd_place

    In a perfect world I would remove ‘gridview_onehalf’ and replace it with something like ‘large-6 columns” so that it takes on the Foundation grid styles.

    Is there any help for me? I really need to make these listings responsive and I can’t seem to find the right set of instructions on making that happen.

Hi Chris,

geoDirectory is fully responsive out of the box, what’s making it not responsive now is this custom css:

ul.geodir_category_list_view {
    width: 1300px;
}

added on this file http://ogsnew.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/FoundationPress-master/assets/stylesheets/foundation.css?ver=2.9.2 line 10983

I’m not sure what you were trying to do exactly with it, because for example on my screen, that leaves a lot of white space next to the listings. See image attached.

If you explain the result desired, we’ll assist with the correct css.

Let us know,

Thanks

p.s. please wrap and HTML within your topics and replies with < code > tags.

Thx

Hey Paolo,

Thanks for the feedback.

What I want is for the site to have 4 columns on desktop-sized devices, and eventually shrink down to a single column on mobile. But the kicker is that I want the excerpt data to show when I select the 4 column layout. If I select two-column I see the excerpt, if I go 4 column it goes away (screenshots attached).

I do see the excerpt now, did you find how to fix it or am I missing something?
