I set my character count numbers allowed for different accounts in their profile. I decided to change the number count and it has not changed. It is stuck at the first numbers I had set. This includes characters and spaces.

    Hi kerry,

Sorry, I’m not getting this. Could you elaborate a little bit more? Perhaps some screenshots?

    Thanks!

    Kor,
We can set the number of characters to be used in the profile description. I have set mine to:
Choice #1 – Set at 140 characters. Display stops at 125. Must set at 154 to show 140.
Choice #2 – Set at 190 characters. Must set at 206 to show 190.
Choice #3 – Set at 240 characters. Must set at 265 to show 240.

It seems to be off by about 15 characters.

I just submitted a test listing and was able to add 154 characters in the description without any problem…
Similarly with existing listings, I cannot re-create the issue on your site.
    Thanks

    Hi,

what are you using to count the characters?

I tried adding a free listing that allows for 154 chars on your website and it allowed me to enter exactly 154 characters.

    See images attached.

    There is no bug…

    Thanks

You forgot to do the final step. When you save it to the page it will show up on the detail/listing page, under profile, with only 140 characters. Adjusting the total character count to 154 makes up for the characters lost when it publishes to the detail/listing page. Please look at the screenshots and explanation I sent. Please redo the test and check the final product after it goes to the detail/listing page

PLease have a look at my test listing in draft, it still has 154 characters and displays 154 characters everywhere.
Are you coping and pasting from somewhere else maybe, not realising you are adding possibly “unseen” characters?

https://bridespub.com/?post_type=gd_place&p=1824%2F&preview=true has 154 characters, wherever it is viewed.

To change the number of listings per category page, review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-the-number-of-listings-per-page/
The listings are not displayed there using any widget but from the settings at GD > Design > Listings.

    Thanks

I did the same test as before: https://bridespub.com/vendors/accessories/test-140-chars/

entered 140, preview was showing 140 and after saving the listing has a description with 140 chars.

What browser are you using? Maybe that’s the issue…
