Can you explain the checkout process and GD pages/shortcodes required for V2?

Trying to understand the GD checkout process. Please correct or adjust the following:

    1. User selects Subscribe button (is there a specific shortcode and or page the user must use to start this process?) Our subscribers/listing owners will have a recurring charge using PayPal.

    2. After payment is made, the user is re-directed back to the site to complete listing/profile fields?

If you have V2 specific documentation or video for this please provide the link(s).

    thank you

    Hi Gene,

Thanks for your post. Have you tested it with a Paypal “Sandbox” account? It should allow you to test the entire process and see if it went through correctly.

    Thanks!

Sorry, I don’t think I was clear in my question. Is there a shortcode OR default checkout page that GD uses to direct people to PayPal, Stripe or desired payment processor? I’m trying to set up a checkout/subscribe page. I don’t understand if there is a specific buy/subscribe button that needs to be placed on the page or if there is a specific page that needs to be used.

Then once a user makes their payment, is that when they are directed by to our website to complete their listing/profile?

    Hi,

GeoDirectory works the other way around, 1st you submit the listing, than you pay.

If you want to do it your way, you’ll need to use a membership plugin to restrict the add listing page only to those who paid, but this is considered a customization.

    Thank you,

In V2 there is a setting to allow users to create listings without logging in. You find it in GeoDirectory > general (click show advanced button in top right corner) > enable Allow posting without logging in.

The process is user creates a listing, then he’s sent to PayPal to pay and if payment is complete listing gets published.

    Thanks

Looks like there is something wrong in your prices. Please provide admin credentials so that we can check your settings.

    Thanks

You didn’t have the Package field active in the add listing form.

I activated it and now everything should work fine.

If you don’t want to show it because it is the only one you use, you should hide it with CSS.

Let me know if you have any other problem.

    Thanks!
