Claim Listing redirect fail

    Hi there
    I’ve seen a post with a suggestion where the amend the redirect after a listing claim (https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/redirecting-the-login-page/) but it is not working in my case. From the custom redirect it goes to our login/register page, then if you login it pushes you to another login page (WP standard login) after which you end up on the homepage again.

    When you are signed in as user, the popup appears for claiming a listing (besides for the hideous styling, the function works when signed in). It is when you are not signed in as user that we get the issue as mentioned above.
    Any ideas?

    I can’t seem to even deactivate your coming soon page to be able to test, maybe you have caching?

    My apologies – we use WP Manager for that – I have deactivated it and you should be able to work without issue now

    What are u using for login? It seems to try to redirect the user to the wp-admin area but fails. Have you tried the UsersWP plugin, maybe that will solve?

    Ok so I’ve removed the fix I found on your support forum so that you can see the full effect of what happens when you try and claim a listing without being signed in.

    It works perfectly when you are signed in, so there is some kind of routing issue

    Hello,

    You did not have a page set for GD login at GD – Permalinks – Login.

    Please try it now.

    Which page do you want to redirect to? And what code snippet were you using for that? Please post it back here so we can take a look.

    Thanks for the help – unfortunately you un-did what the developers from Youzer fixed for me 🙂 We are using the Youzer login and registration pages as our go-to for users to signup. So please undo what you did and make Youzer the default login/register again.

    I unset the GD – Permalinks – Login page

    Have you tried the snippet Stiofan supplied here:

    Most sites using a 3rd party membership plugin only need the redirect for login.
