I’m in the early stages of setting a GD site up.

I use Cloudflare on my site and the free security certificate they provide with their service.

Is that sufficient security to run a GD site with?

All links have the lock icon on them and appear secure to users.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post. I’d recommend premium services like the “Pro” package from Cloudflare https://www.cloudflare.com/plans/ . It’s hard to get something reliable if it’s free. Check out sucuri.net if you have the time.

    Thanks!

Hi Kor, thanks for your answer.

I’ll look into the things you mention, but will things work ok for a while on the free plan?

That is, will GD work ok with it? Will there be any problems switching over later?

My idea was that i could postpone paid security until i got my site setup. That would also give me time to read about it (i know very little). Once that happened, and i added some listings, i could look at switching.

Is that a feasible plan, or could it create problems?

You shouldn’t get any problems from GD with CloudFlare, just let us know if you do.
