Company info from the sidebar to content area

    Hello.
    Please I need to know how to move company info from the sidebar to content area, because it is essential for mi directory.
    It is very important to don’t lose my changes in every plugin update.

    Is possible what I want to do??

    You can move any custom field to the more info tab for example.
    Let us know how you went.

    With More Info Tab you mean Sorting Option? There are only two Tabs (Custom Fields, Sorting Option).

    Hi,

    no, he means a new tab in the listing detail page in the front end.

    Example:

    Here I went to Places settings >> Custom Fields and I clicked on Address on the right box to see the field options.

    I set no for “show in sidebar” and yes for “Show in detail page”.

    Now the address appears in an Extra tab called more info:

    http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/illinois/chicago/landmark/crown-fountain/#post_info

    You can also move that from the sidebar to another area of the detail page using hooks and actions. But that require some php skills.

    Hi, it would be very helpful if I could move the Address field and other custom fields from the “More info” tab to the “Profile” tab.

    Is there a way around this without php skills?

    This is certainly an item for the request list – many users never get to the More Info tab. I guess.

    If I have the courage to try to customize some code, can you guide me and others?

    The system allows to place the information in the sidebar if you wish. Customizing that code wouldn’t be something I could “guide” you. I would have to sit down, study the code to do it in the first place and the test and debug.

    It isn’t something that simple…
