hi,
been a while since i’ve checked in here.
Wondering what’s the best way to copy listings to a new site?thanks,
larryOctober 16, 2015 at 9:40 pm #57264Hi,
you can export listings into a CSV file via GeoDirectory Import/Export, open the file, delete all IDs in the post_id column and re-import into a new website via GeoDirectory Import/Export.
The same can be done for categories.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/
Thanks
October 17, 2015 at 2:08 am #57279Thank Paolo. Cool, so it looks like as long as the authors exist with the same IDs before importing to new site, copied listings will be assigned properly?
October 17, 2015 at 2:53 am #57280Yes, that’s right. You will also need to make sure you transfer the categories first and that addon settings (eg payment packages) and custom fields are set up.
October 17, 2015 at 3:20 am #57281sweet. I’ll give it a shot, Gusst.
Foresee any issue with upgrading from 1.45 to 1.53?
My installed version doesn’t have export option.October 17, 2015 at 4:14 am #57283Not really. You might find there is an improved login system depending on your setup.
Best to backup everything anyway, just in case you want to roll back.October 17, 2015 at 3:23 pm #57302… don’t forget to always update the add-ons too. Outdated add-ons do not work with latest core.
Thanks
October 28, 2015 at 6:12 pm #58298OK, updated all plugins.
Tested Add Listing but the address autocomplete isn’t functioning properly. With auto complete enabled, my address shows up as an option, but when selected it switches to some other address here’s a GIF http://g.recordit.co/d8xr3oSnLm.gif
With auto complete disabled, i enter the address and click set on map, but the map point ends up in the wrong spot.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
October 28, 2015 at 6:58 pm #58306went ahead through the Add Listing process anyway, when i get to payment page
(using authorize.net only), there’s no option to enter credit card info.

we’d need to have a look at your install to make sure everything is in order with your settings.
I don’t see region / city fields in your add listing form.
Please provide a url and admin credentials in a private reply and we will have a look fror you.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/what-caching-plugin-can-i-use/I will leave the payment issue to Paolo.
[PS: The site is for one city only]
October 28, 2015 at 11:17 pm #58328Actually it’s like 20 cities/towns. Only 1 state.
are you saying my location settings are wrong?
October 28, 2015 at 11:46 pm #58336I just tested 6 different addresses without issue. something specific to
2503 overlook creek way, that keeps switching. any ideas?Authorzie.net payment still ins’t working
October 28, 2015 at 11:55 pm #58337My mistake, I now checked your settings and they should allow for all cities in the state to be added. But that is not how your add-listing form works, it does not allow other cities to be added in your state.
Also, you have a few locations that do not exist, like “all in all”, and “all in Florida” etc. -
