I’m a little confused on how to fill out the excel sheet to enter my directory data in. Is the CSV supposed to be able to contain mapping information and photos that can be uploaded into the website? Right now, I am entering places one by one and it is extremely time consuming especially when it comes to the geo location mapping part.

    This should get you started:
    http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv

Let us know how you went.

I tried this but getting the error message:

    0 record(s) inserted.
1 out of 1 record(s) could not be inserted due to invalid/blank post type. Only use geodirectory’s post type.

The post type I typed was gd_place

That’s what is shown in the example.

Can you attach a copy of the spreadsheet you are trying to upload, so I can have a look.

    Sorry, I am stumped.
What program do you use to create your CSV file?

    Download the sample from
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=general_settings&active_tab=csv_upload_settings
and test as is, then change one bit at the time.

If we are still not getting anywhere, we will have to look at your admin for starters.
