When I download the sample csv and upload it through the CSV Upload page all works fine. As soon as I open and resave that same file, the import no longer works. I’m opening/saving the file in OpenOffice and believe my settings are not quite right and so the file is opening, then saving in the wrong format. Here’s what I see when I open the sample CSV:

Can anyone indicate what needs to be selected or unselected in order for the csv to open and save properly?

    HI,

that is the correct format when opening it.

Demlimiters must be , (commas) and ” (double quotes).

Make sure when saving this is the format too.

    Thanks Paolo,

It was saving that was causing the issue. I followed the instructions in the link you provided and all is perfect. For anyone else that’s got slightly different OpenOffice settings, the key when saving is to select Edit Filter Settings in the Save As screen, then change the Character Set to Unicode (UTF-8) in the popup.
