Hey Guys, so these are the current issues Im having:
1. I fixed the transparent background issue (I think) but now the right sidebar is below the listing block.
2. The Multiratings are not showing up in the category I assigned them to. Also, will there be a feature that shows an “overall score” by averaging out the scores in the custom ratings?
3. I disabled location in my custom post type (trainers), but I still have the city, state and country that they’re located in. However, even though I have their city, state and country, they’re not showing up on the map.
4. I plan to create a CPT that is for gyms. I have all of the info needed, except latitude and longitude. There are over 100,000 listings, so I will not be using the Lat/Lon site provided in documentation. Is there a way to have these listings still show up in the map even though I don’t have those two values?
Thats all for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

October 26, 2015 at 8:14 pm #58069Hi,
I think question n 1 has been fixed by Stiofan in a previous topic of yours. Please confirm?
2) 3) We’d need to have a look at this, please share URL and credentials in a private reply.
4) Lat and Long are mandatory fields. Without lat and long listings will not show up in the map and search will not work correctly.
Thanks

I suggest you make the CPT location-less as explained in one of your other posts, and add custom fields for city, region and country. That will make it searchable without needing lat and lng and these listings will not have a map.
October 26, 2015 at 11:49 pm #58096Awesome thanks. Can you please let me know whats wrong with the rating system? Its not showing up on my listings.
October 27, 2015 at 12:06 am #58099Hi,
there must be something wrong in your server, this morning the page was loading normally and now I’m experiencing the same problem Stiofan had the other day. It is taking up to 2 minutes to reload each time.
Are you seeing this problem too?
2) You have comment closed for all listings. COmments must be enabled because reviews are based on the regualr wp comment system. I enebled it here: http://ratethetrainers.com/trainers/canada/alberta-1/cold-lake/instructors-1/a-jane-conyers-4/#reviews and it works.
3) 4) If you make a custom post type “locationless”, then you won’t be able to add anything about the location. Address, country, region, city, zip, map, lat and long will disappear from the add listing form, both front end and back end. Not having a location, these places will not appear in maps.
If you don’t make the CPT locationless, you must add all mandatory fields, or the system will not work properly. Google Maps requires lat and long to show a marker on a map.
Thanks
October 27, 2015 at 12:11 am #58100Thank you very much. Its working fine on my end. Loading normally. How can I enable comments on all of the listings?
Also, will there be a feature that allows the overall rating score to be averaged out from the individual scores?
I have latitude and longitude enabled on the current trainer listings you see on my site. Is there a reason they’re not showing up in the map?
October 27, 2015 at 12:13 am #58101You need to allow users to comment at WP > settings > discussion > Allow people to post comments on new articles
You will need to bulk edit your imported listings to allow comments too, the change in settings is not retrospective.October 27, 2015 at 12:17 am #58102Awesome! Thanks a lot. Can you shed light on my issue about the maps I indicated in the previous reply?
October 27, 2015 at 12:44 am #58103You had hidden all listings from the map at GD > design > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP
October 27, 2015 at 12:48 am #58104Thats embarrassing… Thanks so much guys. This has been a huge help.
October 27, 2015 at 1:08 am #58105All good, you’re not the first one 🙂
And you will not be the last one!
I’ll set this as resolved, let us know if you have any more issues. -
