Hey I’ve been adding all the custom css under the scripts tab on the designs settings interface but it seems that not only is it effecting the site design but the back admin area as well.

For example, I have icons that show up to the left of the navigation menu items but they show up on the back end when you go to “menus”. Also, I increased the font size of widget titles and it increased the font size on the widgets page in the admin section as well.

Typically I just alter the child themes css since the child themes are rarely updated (use genesis and their child themes normally) and it doesn’t bloat the head section with extra code.

So my question is if I remove the css from the scripts tab and add/replace the child theme css will it stop effecting the admin visual output?

    Thank you gentlemen!!

Hello, to be honest I always use the style.css inside the child theme…if it is affecting also the backend, the class/id used in the css could be the same used in the backend..and adding it in the script section or in the style.css would be the same (I guess).

Or maybe the script section is loading by the backend also, while the style.css it isn’t… (so you should go with the style.css, which I recommend)

CSS added in the design >> script >> custom css should only be visible in front end.

Please provide a url and admin credentials for us to check.

    Thanks

    Hi,

it looks like a new bug that slipped into last release. I’ll have developers look into it.

    Thanks
