Custom Fields > HTML outputs regular text

I added a HTML custom field to the Places Settings.
Then when I go to a listing(front-end) and click on edit, I’m able to insert text via the wysiwyg editor (bullet points, line breaks, etc..). To this point, everything is perfect.

The problem: when I click on preview, it removes any kind of formatting and the text is one big chunk of text without any line breaks, bullet points or what so ever.

GeoDirectory version: updated to the latest
Browsers tested: chrome + firefox
Users tested: admin + regular user
Plugins tested: disabled all plugins
Themes tested: activated the regular geodirectory theme instead of the childtheme

The standard fields like description, Special offers, etc. all display their content in the right way.

Important: when I edit the field from the backend and just click update, the text is being displayed with the right markup. That’s why I think it has something to do with the preview mode.
