I’m using GeoDirectory 1.5.6, and have created a html custom field type called “menu” with the variable name “menu_html”

It displays fine on the details page, EXCEPT that any html which is input into this field seems to run through wpautop and I cannot for the life of me disable this. I can disable wpautop on the same post in the main profile entry form, however.

This is a problem since the extra <p> tags really mess up the formatting

Ideally, I would like to be able to process shortcodes through this html field as well, but the searches I have done on this forum have returned answers that make absolutely no sense to me :/

Is there a simple way to force wpautop to be ignored on this custom field only.. preferably something like removing a filter in functions.php?

    Hi,

I just tested in 1 of our demos and i can’t recreate this. The html I entered is the html I see in the front end.

Are you using the text tab or the visual tab of the editor to enter your html?

    Let us know,

    Thanks
