Custom URL Field question

    For a URL field, is it possible for the user to define the text of the URL?
    As far as I can tell at the moment, I, as the admin, have to define the URL link text when I set up the field.

    I want the user to be able to define this label for the field. Currently, this is the Front End Title when defining the URL field.

    ie. ABC_Company_Facebook_Group
    ABC_Company_Facebook_Fan_Page
    ABC_Company_Website
    ABC_Company_Store
    ABC_Company_Blog

    Is this possible today and I’m just missing it?
    If not, consider this a feature request.

    I guess it might be possible to have 2 fields, one asking for the anchor text, and one for the URL.
    Then some code to make them work together, but that code I would not know 🙂
    Maybe Paolo can give some insight.

    Of course you could just use a HTML field, but that would allow a lot more than just posting a link.

    Currently it is not possible, I’ve asked the developers to add an anchor text field to the URL custom field.

    Just FYI, the url/anchor text will have to be entered like this:

    http://mysite.com/|anchor text
