We have a situation where when we add listings in Missouri, the URL ends up being “missouri-1” as the reference. The majority of listings show up with a reference as just “missouri”. Due to this, when we add a new listing it doesn’t show up in the public directory. We have to manually go into phpMyAdmin and search the SQL tables for the “missouri-1” reference and change it to just be “missouri”.

We’ve also tried updating the database reference for the location that has missouri-1 to be missouri. Even after this, it seems that somewhere in the code the system wants to keep using missouri-1.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

    Please review

Something else has already been assigned the missouri slug, possibly a category or a page etc.
So until the first missouri is deleted or changed to something else, you will keep getting missouri-1

    Thanks
