I have 2 date fields for all CPT’s (“member since” and “operating since”) and for some reason many of them keep getting corrupted. ie. Dates show as “Nov 30, -0001” or “Jan 13, 2021”

Any idea what is causing this?

Make sure you pick a day from the calendar widget before saving. Just picking a year and month does not lock it in I think.
Not sure that is the problem, but at least it seems to work like that.

I’ve used the date picker and selected the day, which does seem to work for a bit. However somehow they get corrupted—-possibly when editing the post but possibly just on its own.

One thing is for sure, if I create a new listing but leave the “operating since” field blank, the date “Nov 30, -0001” always shows up on the listing. Editing the listing to remove the faulty date does not fix the problem.

Does it change if you remove the default value (unverified) ?
Maybe the brackets in there muck things up.
I’ll get the others to have a look at your post too.

I removed “unverified” from the default value of my first date field, but haven’t been able to test much yet.

I did notice that in my second date field, all dates showing “Nov 30, -0001” have “null” data for the date (imported via GD import/export with “null” value). I need to leave most of these date fields blank so listing owners can update the date themselves (Only listing owners generally know the date they started operation).

When I edit the posts to delete “Nov 30, -0001”, I find that the field is auto-populated with today’s date. When I delete the date it reverts to “Nov 30, -0001” after saving.

Oddly, if I enter “null” instead of a blank, the date field sets to “Jan 01, 1970”.

If I select a date from the picker it displays correctly.

Is the inability to have a blank date field a bug, or just a limitation of the date feature?

Have you tried not importing null, but a blank value? I don’t think a datapicker will allow a “fake” date.

Either unselected or a real date…

    Let us know,

    Thanks

I tried re-importing with all date field blank and am still getting Nov 30, -0001 for all entries.

OK this should all be fixed from the next version.

    Thanks,
