Deactivating/updating Geodirectory breaks my site

    Just FYI, you should never disable GeoDirectory, unless you 1st disable all the add-ons.

    Why are you disabling the core plugin though?

    Hi,

    I’ve never seen a hosting provider making it so difficult to access a server via FTP.

    I spent over an hour trying now and couldn’t, so I’m passing this to the developers, hopefully they’ll be luckier/smarter than me.

    Where you ever able to access the server via FTP?

    yes, I have accessed my server via FTP before, i’m not sure what the problem is to be honest. Is it just not connecting?

    Hi Jonny,

    I can’t access with FTP details even my IP added in unblocked.

    Can you lists the steps you are following to update plugin?

    Please update GD core first and then GD plugins. If you are disabling GD or GD plugins then first disable GD plugins and then GD core.
    Also make sure you have not any custom code snippet written in non GD plugin files.

    Hi Jonny,

    Yes, i fixed it yesterday but forgot to reply, the problem was you had a copy of the kleo title in the child theme, this needed to be wrapped in a statement to see if it existed, we added a fix in GD for this to alter the titles, you had added something similar in your child theme which conflicted.

    P.S. I could not connect via FTP even after white listing my IP, i ended up using the file manager in the hosting.
