Default Value for Custom field

    I have created a custom field called “State” which has a list of all the USA states a customer can select from during a search and that field is mandatory for Add Listing. Right now the field is defaulting to the first state of Alabama and it needs to default to a blank field. How can I make that happen? See attachment.

    You could add a blank option as the first option, but that will mean that users can select that option.
    I’ll get the developers to have a look at your question too, I cannot think of any other way to deal with that.

    Try adding something like this to the start of the option values

    Select state /,
