Delete All Listings in Specific Category

    I have duplicate listings in a specific category that need to be deleted. I have 5 I read https://www.competethemes.com/blog/remove-wordpress-posts/ and after following instructions I attempted to delete all listings but my WordPress simply wouldn’t delete even one listing. I changed the screen options to 100 instead of 200 but it still wouldn’t work. Some listings are in 2 or 3 categories but I only want to delete listings that are in 1 specific category, not multiple categories.

    I keep getting the following message:

    Sorry, you are not allowed to move this item to the Trash.

    Could you please help me delete these listings?

    Hi,

    I cleared the browser cache and WP cache and I’m still getting this error:

    Error in moving to Trash.

    How many listings from that specific category were you able to remove? What is the best way to remove all of the listings in that category? Is there a way to do it from the database?

    Hi serendipity,

    Thanks for your reply. I’ve just tested removing 17 listings at a time. Maybe it stalls when you try to remove too many at a time. I will forward this to a developer for a second opinion.

    Hi Naveen,

    Oh, you saved me so many hours of work. I spent at least 3 hours and only made it to the letter E.

    Can you please delete all posts in the trash folder too? I’ve been having the same problem removing items from the trash folder.

    Removed them using the empty trash button.

    Hi Naveen,

    I just noticed that I have another site where I have duplicate listings that need to be removed. There are 3199 pending listings that need to be deleted and I wonder if you help me complete a bulk delete of the pending listings using the script you shared above. The pending listings are the duplicates. Also, please check that the trash is also empty. See attached screenshot. WP login details below.

    Please see my post on April 27, 2020. This request to remove 3199 pending listings is on another site because they are all duplicates and I have given you the login details April 27th. I added a screenshot in the first post dated April 27th.

    Please help me delete duplicate listings in the “brewery” category only. Do not delete listings that are in multiple categories. See attached.
