    Hello
In building a test listing I filled out all of the fields. They all appear on the detail page right sidebar when populated but email does not. There is content in the email section on the add listing page but it does not make to to the detail page.

    Thanks

Any thoughts on this one? The only reason that it is so important is that my directory is real estate based and they all use email a ton. Thanks

    Hi joe,

we do that on purpose, if you show email addresses on your website, it’ll become the favorite playground of your local spammer.

Bots can detect and harvest email addresses if displayed on a page. I would never advertise with you if you’d show my email address for spammer to harvest.

That is why we provide 1 contact form for each listings and we mask the email address behind it.

    Thanks

Great point. that never occurred to me. that’s why you guys are the professionals. So to clarify, does the enquiry link go to each individual listings email address via that form? I have build a test listing with a test email. I clicked the email tab and fiolled out the form but never received any notification.

Any guess what I am doing wrong?

Yes it does, you can install the email log plugin to check if the email is being logged. If it is, the problem is either server related (SMTP) or you are getting, but it’s in your spam folder.
