Another question; I’ve added some custom fields in place settings – how I can sort their order to display on the actual place page (listing page)?
I’ve added two custom fields, special offers & prices, I want this to be positioned next to each other instead of 1 being at the top and the other at the bottom of the page and also, the prices field I’ve added is actually showing up below the “related places” section, which doesn’t make sense.
So basically I need to know how to order these.
July 24, 2017 at 7:30 am #388271Hi Peter,
Please avoid asking your question separately as it would cause confusions. I’ll try to answer your questions accordingly.
#1 Ah, I get a “white bar” that appears where this section was when just using that code – when using both codes, it disappears.
Please provide a link or screenshots for better understanding.#2 Can you please tell me what’s the best way to display latest blog posts on the homepage?
You can try displaying it using a widget if its a GD homepage.#3 Discount codes are normally sent out using newsletters or by email manually upon request. How do you want to display it? Screenshots?
#4 Screenshots and links please. Thanks!

Please refer to this article as it explains how you can order the tab https://wpgeodirectory.com/re-order-tabs-in-a-listing-detail-page/ . Unfortunately, you can’t integrate Google Maps results in GD.
Thanks@
July 26, 2017 at 9:38 am #388527Hi, Soon after implementing this code, the site has broken and I’m getting this error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home4/waffdm0acfq6/public_html/wp-content/themes/supreme-directory/functions.php:1) in /home4/waffdm0acfq6/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1210

Please insert the code into the “Code Snippets” plugin next time. At the moment, could you please provide FTP access to your server so that I could fix that?
Thanks!
July 26, 2017 at 12:17 pm #388543Hi, OK thought the instructions said put it into functions.php.
So I’ve deleted the existing functions file and replaced it with the original and the site is working again. I think the only information I lost in this process was the footer custom text I added, so I’ve replaced it but now the copyright symbol © is not displaying correctly – it’s showing up as this
… any ideas on how to resolve that?
Thanks
July 26, 2017 at 12:27 pm #388544OK, I’ve tried adding this code to the “code snippets” and it doesn’t work at all. Please advise.
July 26, 2017 at 12:43 pm #388545Ok, sorted it. Deleting the functions file and replacing it didn’t work, so reinstalled the original one and the code snippets is working fine now.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for your reply. Glad to know that it is working well on your end.
Thanks!
July 28, 2017 at 10:05 am #388799Hi, when I put “Popular Post View” into the “GD Home Content Section” or “GD Home Top Section” and set it to 3 or 4 columns, it doesn’t show all the columns… it always shows 1 less than what I set it to.
The only time it works is when setting it to 2 columns.
July 28, 2017 at 11:07 am #388811Also, for the “Popular Categories” section under the search form, I don’t have categories for the different custom post types, so is it possible to display custom post types instead of the categories?
July 28, 2017 at 6:13 pm #388876Hi Peter,
Please share the URL of the site in question so we can take a better look at the column issue and also WP temp admin access to your site. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.
Changing the “Popular Categories” section under the search form would require customization, unfortunately.
