What do we need to do to have something similar or better than this business model for GD site owners?

Do we need to have multisite compatibility? If so, is this included in the GD roadmap or still subject to popular demand approval as posted on the feature request board?

Yes, multisite and some custumization would allow you to do something like that.

Multisite is one of the next steps for sure. It was highly requested and we need it to do an admin demo too…

in wordpress MultiSite each website is indipendent.

What do you mean by directory of directories?

Hi Paolo,

Yes, each site would be independent, but then is it possible to have the primary site as a base for all the others. So it would effectively be a directory of all of the other directory sites. Here is an example of the sort of thing that I mean. http://cityusa.biz/

I presume that you cannot link any entries or data back to the primary site either?

Hi,

you can’t, the main site will be a directory like all others. It will not auto-fetch data from subsite.
