directory url structure

    Hi,

    I would like to have the following url structure:

    http://www.mysite.com/directory/ -> geodir-home template
    http://www.mysite.com/directory/category-1/ -> geodir-listing template

    Is this possible? I discovered the “Listing url prefix” setting in the permalinks section. But when i set this to “directory”, http://www.mysite.com/directory/ also uses the geodir-listing template instead of the home template.

    Hi Chris,

    Unfortunately, that isn’t possible by default but it could be done if you installed your WP as a multisite.

    Hi,

    that is actually partially possible.

    Change the location page title and slug to “Directory” and you will have the directory home page in the directory page.

    yoursite.com/directory

    Then use the normal slug places or whatever you prefer for your listings.

    The listings page will be :

    yoursite.com/places

    Then for each category it will be

    yoursite.com/places/category-1/.

    Hi guys,

    Thanks, I appreciate the help. I was aware of the partial solution and will settle with that. 🙂 It’s just a minor issue anyway. Geodirectory is by far the best wordpress directory I’ve tried out.
