    Hi there,

We have created a custom listing from custom post type add-on for geodirectory. However, when we try to add in fields , we did not find the option to disable few fields that came in by default with every form such as Listing title , listing description etc. How do i disable these or edit their titles ?

Hi, listing title and listing description are mandatory fields for GeoDirectory and can’t be hidden in any way.

    Thanks

Thanks for letting us know Paolo 🙂

In that case ,can i rename the fields ? Also , if you can help me understand whether i can autogenerate the listing title based on the criteria of fields i select on the form ?

Basically , i wanted to maintain uniformity in the listing titles , so wanted to check if i can disable it for the customer and add it directly at the admin’s end or auto-generate it.

    Hi,

you can do that with jQuery. We already gave few examples in the forum:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/autofill-category/
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/make-listing-description-optional/

With these 2 examples, you should be able to do anything you need.

Let us know how you went

    Thanks
