Hello,
I’ve had the directory section of my site live for about 10 days now. And it seems users are able to create an account, login and then not take the next steps to create a listing. Also, I’ve had potential troublemakers creating accounts, and have had to block them.
I’ve decided that i am going to handle the addition of listings and payment of listing through another process manually. I want to engage with my customers anyway, so this will be better for me.
i want to disable the “anyone can register” standard WordPress feature, therefore preventing anyone from registering. I will add and manage listings myself, we are only expecting about 100 or so total listings (it’s a very small local directory that serves a small town).
My question: Is there any special considerations to be aware of when doing the following?
1) Disabling “Anyone can register”
2) deactivating and deleting the payments manager addon
3) deactivating and deleting the invoicing addon
4) deactivating and deleting the dashboard addonn
All i want is the public facing directory and i dont think i will need any of those addons anymore. Let me know if there are any adverse affects involved with doing so, or if there are anything i should do prior to proceeding.
thanks!
Colby
