Display more lines in "listing preview section" on homepage

i cant seem to find a way to set a standard of numbe rof lines of text per listing. If you look at the homepage there is 6 listings that are automatically filtered by highest rated, however the part where it vanishes are not uniform and looks horrible. is there a way to fix this?

Try using the GD Post Content element in your Archive Item template. It has a number of options and gives you a lot of control over how textareas are displayed.

So i looked in the links you provided but i couldnt find anything that helped. i found a shortcode parameter “character_count” in https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listings and i tried putting that in the body of the homepage (where all the other shortcodes are) but when i update, nothing changes.

it’s weird that each listing has a different vanish point where the text fades into the background. i would like for an unlimited amount of characters for listings.

is there a way to check to see if i’m inputting the shortcode correctly?

You will need to edit the archive item template, and add the gd post content shortcode or block there.
