Display parent category icon on gd listings

    Hi I’m using the gd_listings shortcode to display listings on the location page. Is there a way to also display the parent category icon of each listing, possibly overlaid on the listing image? Using latest version of WP and GD core. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    it is not, the category icon is only used in the maps.

    Hi, sorry for reviving an old post. If not the category icon, is there some way that we could display the categories as text then among the info for each listing? Willing to dive into the code if anyone can point me in the right direction. Our client really wants the categories to be shown in the listings. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Categories are normally visible in the listing below the slider and also in the sidebar.

    Are you sure you didn’t hide them?

    Hi Paolo, thanks for the reply. I meant for each item in the output of the gd_listings shortcode. Will double check later if there’s some hidden elements via css, but as far as I can remember the default output of the shortcode does not include the listing categories.

    If you want them visible in the lists, you need to go to Place Settings, double click on Category and select listings page in option “Show in what location?”
