    Hello,

We are wanting to have the search and category icons that are used on the landing page featured area displayed on various other pages throughout the theme. Is there a way of doing this in the theme settings or do we need to update the page template files with a short code?

    Cheers,

You can add the GD>Search and GD>Categories to the pages as shortcodes or blocks, or to the widget areas as widgets.
Depending where you exactly want them, you may have to edit one of the theme’s files.
If you post the URL of the page where you would like it, and explain where you would like it, we can give a more specific answer.
    Thanks

Normally that page looks like this:
    https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/places/category/restaurants/united-states/

You are using a different template for those pages.
Can you please post your WP admin details in a private reply too so we can check which template you are using for the GD archive pages?

    Thanks

Is there a reason you are using the archive page tempalte override? It should not be necessary.

In the GD Archive page you can choose fullwidth as the page template.

    Add this to
    /wp-content/themes/supreme-directory/functions.php
after line 441, adjust as required:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[gd_search][gd_categories]'); ?>

    Thanks

    Hello Guust,

Thanks for sharing the code. It is just what we needed.

    Hello Alex,

We tried adjusting the template in the Page editor, but the width was not changing to “full width”. This is why we went with the override. Maybe our install is buggy…

    Cheers,
