Don't Allow New Users

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Our directory is published by us and our editors only.
    How can we turn off / disable new signups?
    Also, is a “USER” from our website automatically logged in?

    Turn off signups at WP Settings > General > Anyone can register.

    Users are only logged in automatically if they have logged in using the same browser on the same computer before and have chosen to be “remembered”.

    I don’t think that will work.
    If that also disables any new users from signing up to the other programs that are also running.
    They include PaidMemberPro and a forum plugin.

    You asked “How can we turn off / disable new signups?” … ?
    I guess you did mean to ask “How can we turn off our users adding listings?”

    GD > Design > Navigation > Allow post type to add from frontend > NONE

    Hi Mike,

    You can probably hide all Add Listing and GD signup links from the users and only allow the listings to be added via backend using editor and admin accounts.

    Thanks… I’ll wait and see if the mobile phone issue is fixable first.
    Then that all sounds like it will work.
