hi, i have have problems with the import database . i imported it form Csv File and there were, more or less 4000 different data ( i imported them form CSV uploading in the geodirectory menu) so
the question is that :
1) in the front and also in the wp backend i can see only 350 data more or less and also there are data that are duplicate 6 times.
2) However .. I have make the search in the wp database .. with adminer …
and there are the all data ..
i send the file you can examine it..January 20, 2015 at 5:06 pm #28167Hi,
please provide the CSV file that you are trying to upload (make sure to zip it before uploading or it will be blocked).
I see you are using excel and that could be the problem. Please read documentation about CSV: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv
We will also need a link to your website and wp admin credentials, that you can send in a private reply.
let us know,
ThxJanuary 21, 2015 at 1:03 pm #28270This reply has been marked as private.January 21, 2015 at 6:17 pm #28348Hi,
there is more than 1 problem in that csv.
1 Delimiters are wrong. They should be commas and not semicolons.
To correct this you can do the following:
a Click on Save as
b Enable “Edit filter settings”
c Change from semicolon to comma2 There are plenty of bad characters throughout the file. Examples:
in Title: L’ESTHTICINNE
In category : naturopata3 Because of wrong delimiters most address are wrong, the second part was pushed into the city field and the city names are now in region and so on…
4 Latitude and Longitude codes seems wrong too. They should be decimals.
Once you fix all this it will work.
Thx
January 22, 2015 at 10:05 am #28436ok i try the cvs file in the way you said to me in commas..
i have anothr problem now because i use the social importor for events and when i see it in the front end and they are published 3 times .. however when i look it in the backend i only see it 3 times…
what to do?January 22, 2015 at 3:52 pm #28471hi. i solve the last issue .. because i see that when there are a event in for example 3 days geodirectory create 3 differents events..
ok for this ..
i have problems to uploading a image…
i read documentation about CSV: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csv and i make all the steps you explain there for the image but they don’t link to it…
how can i solve this issue?January 22, 2015 at 9:53 pm #28541You need to add the image name for the listing to the CSV file and than copy the image in the folder suggested by the script when you finish uploading the CSV file.
Did you do both thing? Can you provide a link to a listing where the image is not showing?
Thx
January 22, 2015 at 9:54 pm #28542Did you upload your images to the correct folder?
See step 4 of “upload images” at http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#imagesIt seems that you entered the filename without the extension in the CSV file.
This is a one of the links to your images:
http://psicologiaymeditacion.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/foto
That shows you used “foto” in the CSV file instead of “foto.jpg” for example. It also seems you used the same “foto” for all listings, instead of using the actual filename of the image.
January 24, 2015 at 11:45 am #28714ok i understand…
so, i active the multilocation in the home bar. yestarday.. and all was ok and also i upload a csv file with new 80 data place.
so this morning, all the links to the image has desaparead , it seem that they are broken.. i don’t undersand this..
i would like have the image and the information of the profile active another time.
do you undestand this?January 24, 2015 at 11:55 am #28716Did you upload your images to the correct folder?
It is not good enough to upload the name of the image in the CSV file.
You also have to upload the images with a FTP program like FileZilla.January 28, 2015 at 9:51 am #29022ok i succes with this!!
January 28, 2015 at 10:19 am #29026So everything is working well now then?
I set this to resolved. -
