Hi
At the moment i can create a listing in my directory, pay and it becomes live.
But if I don’t pay, logout and move on. Then later login and with a view to ‘edit my draft’ listing and then pay to publish.
I can’t… there doesn’t seem to be ‘edit draft option’. And to make it slightly more complicated it does allow me to create a new listing… even though we have limited to 1 per user.
I presume this is because the previous listing is still in draft.
Anyway, if you could see where I might have gone wrong?
May 16, 2019 at 2:33 pm #486876Hello,
With UsersWP, the user will have access to all the listings they have authored and claimed through their profile, in any publish statues (closed, draft, pending review, published).
If that isn’t working for you just let us know here:
May 16, 2019 at 2:39 pm #486877oh ok, I need to install the plugin no worries.
So why once the listing is published is there ‘Edit Listing’ within GEO Directory? but not if draft listing?
May 16, 2019 at 11:27 pm #486980I will flag your question from the developers.

Many thanks for that. It does seem strange to me, that there isn’t a default “Draft/edit’ but no worries. And thanks again
May 17, 2019 at 11:32 am #487064Hi Mark,
let me try and explain the process;
* If you start adding a listing and never submit it then it will be there next time you visit the add listing page and you can continue.
* If you submit it then it (depending on your settings) will likely be pending, it will be view-able from your author listings page and you can edit and pay that way, or if using WPI you can simply pay the invoice that was sent to you to make it live.If you have any specific questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Stiofan

Many thanks for that, in answer to your answers.

How? All we can do is create a second listing, this is something we do not want.
there is no edit of ‘draft listing’

I am not sure what you mean, once we submit, it goes into payment process, and if I do not pay. The listing remains ‘draft’ and I cannot edit the listing?
So maybe i am missing something some where?
May 20, 2019 at 12:35 pm #487541Hi Mark,
1. This is automatic, if its never submitted then it should be there to edit the next time u go to add a listing. If you have something turning off WP_POST_REVISIONS then that might be causing issues for you. If you would like me to take a look you can provide wp-admin details in a private reply.
2. You can edit listings from your author screen even if they are not published. To get to the author screen u can use the GD > Dashboard widget.
Let me know if that helps.

Has someone looked yet? Still waiting on response.
May 28, 2019 at 3:50 pm #489517Hi Mark,
Very sorry i missed the replies here :/
I just checked and you are on GDv1 which works differently, so let me try and go over things again knowing that:
1. In GDv1 if the listing is never submitted then its never saved.
2. You can edit the draft listing via your GD author page reached by the GD login box / dashboard widget. On your page though you have a CSS rule that is hiding the edit and status info
.geodir-entry-meta { display: none !important; }
If i disable this rule i can see the edit button and info (see attached pic)
Thanks,
Stiofan
May 29, 2019 at 11:47 am #489752Hi
Thanks very much. I can see edit button now.
But the function of editing is only availble if a customer pays for the listing?
if they get to ‘checkout’ page and leaves the website, the listing will disappear? There will be nothing to edit?
Is that correct?
