Edit Reviews in Whoop

I need to edit the Reviews layout in Whoop and it seems the file for that is:
wp-content/themes/GeoDirectory_whoop/functions/reviews.php

Do I copy this whole reviews.php file into my child theme directory (whoop_child) or do I copy the function (geodir_comment_whoop) into the child functions.php file?

Or do I do something completely different?
