    I tried to search the forums but I can’t find how to set up email verification for new registrations.

    Is there a way to do this with GD ?

    I’m gonna try to install Buddypress and see if it works.

    GD’s default registration system is designed to put as few obstacles in place as possible, before making submissions.
    Adding Buddypress will indeed require activation if that is required.
