Events page "sort of" missing

So i’ve recently installed the events addon and have been playing around a little bit.

I have added one event but the map feature on the front page isn’t working. The error –

No Records Found

Sorry, no record were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again.

– So i go into my permalinks to see if there’s an issue there.. there is no option to set an events page.
– So i go into my pages and there is no events page on my website supposedly (not on the pages screen) but it exists here. http://mybs5.com/events/ (so there is no events page but this link works?)
– I created 13 events in dummy data, the website said this it worked but there is nothing on http://mybs5.com/events/
– There is no page to create events on pages either.

I am in such a muddle its unbelievable! I’m not sure if I’m even explaining this properly. I apologise.

What should i do?
