Hi guys
When I set a listing to ‘expire’ after 60 days, what happens to the listing when it’s past 60 days? Will the listing disappear from the site? And if a business decides to upgrade their listing after 65 days, will they then have to register again? Or can the former listing be updated?
The same question for claim listings: If someone lists a business (for instance to review it), chooses the free listing for 60 days, and 70 days later the owner wants to claim this listing, is that still possible? Will the listing still be visible even if it was set to expire after 60 days? Will the owner be able to register his own business?
And what if someone lists a business but is not the owner, and the owner lists the same business, will there be a duplicate listing then? Or 2 seperated listings?
Thanks for your clarification!
Greetings
January 9, 2017 at 4:10 am #339282Hi Jasper,
Expired listings will be moved to the draft. I’d like you to refer to this section of the documentation as it should answer most of your questions. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/#general
Thanks!
January 10, 2017 at 3:10 am #340141OK thanks, got it.
Another thing:
When I open my site on Safari, it always sais that my current location (which is “Lier”) is unknow. In Chrome, that’s not the case.
Also, in Safari, the site doesn’t display the background image that I chose for the site, but the bg color. In Chrome, it DOES choose the bg image.
And in Chrome the Facebook-login doesn’t work while it does in Safari.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks!
January 10, 2017 at 5:51 pm #340465Hi,
would you mind sharing a link so that we can see the problems in action?
Let us know,
Thanks
January 10, 2017 at 10:06 pm #340632Yes sorry, it’s https://meetupforcoffee.com
January 10, 2017 at 10:17 pm #340633Hi,
the conversion to https has been only partially done.
You need to install a plugin like better search and replace and replace all instances of your domain from
to
Possibly that will fix it.
Let us know,
Thanks
January 11, 2017 at 11:16 am #340793Hi Paolo
Strange, in the URL’s I see everywhere https ?
Problems now are:
Can’t click on a member on page Meetup (link shakes)
https://meetupforcoffee.com/membersCan’t click on a picture on page Gallery (link shakes)
https://meetupforcoffee.com/gallery/Can’t click on review to write a review in for instance https://meetupforcoffee.com/places/belgium-1/vlaanderen/lier/coffeebars/barraf/
In Safari:
Background-image never loads, it does in Chrome
Message: “Current location is currently unknown” (not shown in Chrome)In Chrome: Can’t use Facebook-login, can use it in Safari
If I give you access to the site, you can take a look / solve issues?
Thanks
January 11, 2017 at 1:35 pm #340897Hello guys, I got a few problems here!
First an update on former issues:
These things have been fixed:
In Safari:
Background-image never loads, it does in Chrome OK
Message: “Current location is currently unknown” (not shown in Chrome) OKSTIIL PROBLEMS NOW + NEW STRANGE PROBLEM:
In Chrome: Can’t use Facebook-login, can use it in Safari
Can’t click on a member on page Meetup (link shakes)
https://meetupforcoffee.com/membersCan’t click on a picture on page Gallery (link shakes)
https://meetupforcoffee.com/gallery/Can’t click on review to write a review in for instance https://meetupforcoffee.com/places/belgium-1/vlaanderen/lier/coffeebars/barraf/
ADDITIONAL STRANGE THING:
When a user registers a coffeeplace on the site, I (the admin) am informed by it by mail.
BUT, when I click on the link in the mail, there is something wrong with the URL that is created for the registered coffeeplace, because the PLACE is not correct.
So for instance:
Cafee Syra, which is in Barcelona, has this URL:
https://meetupforcoffee.com/places/netherlands/noord-holland/amsterdam/coffeebars/syra-coffee/ (Amsterdam is the standard location!)
Off course, it should be:
https://meetupforcoffee.com/places/spain/catalunya/barcelona/coffeebars/syra-coffee/
BOTH URL’s are created …
And when I look on “SYRA” in the search bar on the homepage, I get 2 results:
First leads to correct registered coffeeplace with the correct URL (not the wrong URL)
Second leads to https://meetupforcoffee.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=Syra+Coffee&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon= (it’s for every registered place like that)So, please check this?
I am happy to give you admin rights to fix this!
Thanks
January 11, 2017 at 9:12 pm #341169Hi,
you see https, but there is a warning sign next to the lock and if you click on it, you will see : Connection is not secure. (see image attached). That is because most of the links and images on your pages are not converted to https.
The flickering links in the members directory are caused by this custom css:
.main-color a:hover { display: none; }
The flickering gallery could be caused by the same faulty CSS, however that not a GeoDirectory gallery, thus beyond support.
The review link disappearing is caused by he same CSS above.
About the wrong link in the notification, I alerted the developers. The place however is there only once, not twice.
Even if you try to access the place like this https://meetupforcoffee.com/places/ANYTHING/coffeebars/syra-coffee/
it will work, but in the DB it exist only for Barcelona and that link will only appear on the email.
Thanks
January 11, 2017 at 9:12 pm #341170@kiran, please check the part about the wrong link in listing submission notification (below: ADDITIONAL STRANGE THING:)
Thanks
January 12, 2017 at 12:55 am #341240Hi Paolo
Thank so much, it all works fine again.
The only thing I can’t figure out, is why the FB-login doesn’t work in Chrome and does work in Safari. The entire site is secured now and well redirected to https …
January 12, 2017 at 1:42 pm #341412Hi Jasper,
It seems you have added FB-login via Kleo shortcode, so you have to contact Kleo theme owner for support.
Except FB-login, if you have any problem then just provide admin credentials, so we can assist you.
Thanks,
Kiran -
